OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Axis Dance Studio, our mission isn’t just to build skilled dancers. It’s to help students become poised and confident people who will become community, industry, and global leaders. We do this by creating an environment where fully accredited teachers, families, and peers come together to help all dancers reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. In our supportive and nurturing dance community, students learn responsibility, gain independence, develop friendships, and improve their self-esteem. They also aren’t afraid to make the mistakes that build the foundation for sustained success in the studio and beyond. Working as a family, we don’t stop at teaching students how to master the dance stage. We show them how to conquer the world.

Our History

We’re all about growth. It’s something we nurture in our dancers and place at the centre of everything we do as a studio. After 34 years as one of the top dance studios in Brampton, former teachers, now owners, Jessica and Luisa have rebranded Coffey’s Danc’n Place as Axis Dance Studio.

Maintaining the high standards we set for ourselves over the past three decades, we’re still committed to providing exceptional dance training for your child in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Through top-quality instruction in a studio that prioritizes respect and compassion, we instill a sense of character and self-worth in our students by building on the physical and mental demands of dance. If you’re a returning dance family, we thank you for being part of all that we’ve accomplished together as a studio. And if you’re just joining us, we appreciate the opportunity to teach your child and share our love for dance. We look forward to starting a new season with you in our recently renovated facility and building an inclusive community where we can all grow and learn together.

Our faculty teaches classes in jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatics, hip hop, contemporary/lyrical, jumps and turns, stretch and strength, and pointe. Ensuring that everyone can get in on the fun, we offer a preschool program for young dancers, a part-time program for students who love to dance recreationally, a pre-competitive program for dancers who want to compete locally at an entry level, and a top-notch competitive program for those looking to take their skills to the next level. All of our dancers showcase their skills in our highly anticipated year end recital at the beautiful Rose Theatre.
